Het PatelBusiness & Data Analyst
I turn stakeholder needs and operational data into clear requirements, useful reporting, and decision-ready communication.

Evidence
8+ recruiting KPIs
Time-to-hire, offer acceptance rate, and recruiter performance among them — each defined with the HR, Sales, and Operations teams that use them.
50,000+ candidate records
Cleaned and validated before anything was reported on them, so the reporting had a base it could stand on.
~40% less manual reporting effort
After automating the weekly reporting cycle with Python and SQL. Measured by me, before and after — not independently audited.
Where I fit
Four views of the same work — not four different people. Business Analysis and Data & BI are where the evidence is.
Business Analysis
From stakeholder needs to structured, measurable delivery.
Requirements gathered across functions that want different things, turned into deliverables leadership actually uses.
Data & BI
Operational data shaped into reporting leaders can use.
Clean and validate, model, build the dashboard, automate the refresh, then explain the result.
AI Business Analysis
Developing
Business analysis for AI-enabled workflows, with validation and responsible-use thinking.
Technology Growth
Secondary
Research, discovery, and analytical communication for technology-services growth.
Selected work
What I do
Requirements and stakeholder analysis
Finding out what three different functions actually need, writing it down so it holds up, and reconciling the definitions they disagree on.
Jira · Agile/Scrum exposure
BI and KPI reporting
Defining what a KPI means before building it, then building the dashboard and the recurring report around that definition.
Power BI (DAX, Power Query) · Tableau · Excel
Data preparation and automation
Cleaning and validating operational data, then automating the parts of reporting that should never have been manual.
SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) · Python (Pandas, NumPy) · Excel (VBA macros)
AI opportunity and requirements analysis
Framing where AI helps and where it does not, defining what a good output looks like, and deciding where a human stays in the loop.
Developing capabilityResearch, discovery, and solution communication
Researching context before proposing anything, and explaining a technical answer to the person who has to approve it.
How I work
1Discover
Talk to the people who will use the output. Find the decision behind the request before agreeing to build anything.
2Structure
Write the requirement down. Agree what each measure means, so the same word means the same thing in every team.
3Analyse
Prepare the data, check what it can and cannot support, then look for the pattern that answers the question actually asked.
4Validate
Check the numbers against a second source or a known figure. Say plainly where the data is thin rather than smoothing over it.
5Communicate
Lead with the finding, not the method. Give the audience the one thing they need in order to decide.
6Improve
Automate whatever recurs. Revisit definitions when the business changes what it means by them.
